As a service trade, China's international freight forwarding industry has made remarkable achievements and made positive contributions relying on the rapid development of foreign trade. As of January 2013, a large number of enterprises have stood out in the fierce market competition. These enterprises have accelerated the pace of China's international freight forwarding industry to participate in the international market competition.

Here we should mention two points in particular: one is the relationship between quantity and quality. Second, the problem of opportunities. With a certain amount of accumulation, that is, the better the foundation is, the more successful companies will be produced.

Looking back on the growth history of China's freight forwarding enterprises, before 1988, there were only two freight forwarding companies in China, namely China Foreign Trade Transport Corporation and China Ocean Transport Corporation. Under the State Council in March 1988, "Shipping and freight forwarding businesses are operated by multiple operators, which are chosen by the shipping company and the cargo owner respectively. No department may intervene or restrict them." In the following years, China's international freight forwarding enterprises have been established one after another, and with the progress of time, China's international freight forwarding enterprises have been launched one after another, its development trend can not be ignored, and China's international freight forwarding industry shows a vibrant scene.

At the end of 1993, 510 international freight forwarding enterprises were approved by the Ministry of Commerce (formerly the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation). By the end of 1999, there were 1,600 international freight forwarding enterprises approved by the Ministry of Commerce (formerly the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation). If there is not so much accumulation of international freight forwarders, of course, there will not be many achievements and prominent international well-known freight forwarders, because the basis of quality is quantity, and the accumulation of quantity has finally reached a qualitative leap.

The second important factor is opportunity. People of insight in China's international freight forwarding industry have seized the good situation around 1993 and set up their own freight forwarding companies. As is generally acknowledged, there are always several opportunities in one's life. 1993 is an opportunity for people with insight in China's international freight forwarding industry. The people who founded the freight forwarding company around 1993 are those who dare to seize the opportunity and are good at seizing it.
