According to reports, in the first eight months, Hubei Province imported and exported 124.56 billion yuan by general trade, an increase of 7.3%, accounting for 73.5% of the total foreign trade value of the province; imported and exported 34.17 billion yuan by processing trade, a decrease of 10.1%; imported and exported 8.37 billion yuan by customs special supervision, a double increase, of which imported and exported 5.84 billion yuan by customs special supervision area logistics goods, an increase of 28 times.

Meanwhile, the channels of import and export goods in our province are also changing. Imports and exports to the EU and ASEAN declined, exports to Hong Kong and the United States maintained rapid growth, and foreign trade to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan continued to increase.

In addition, the performance of private enterprises in the field of import and export is becoming more and more prominent. In the first eight months, the import and export value of private enterprises in our province was 88.65 billion yuan, an increase of 29.1% year on year, accounting for 52.3% of the total foreign trade of the province; the import and export value of foreign-invested enterprises in our province was 45.38 billion yuan, down 11.7% year on year; the import and export value of state-owned enterprises was 35.38 billion yuan, down 11.5% year on year.
