Since this year, the total monthly import and export value and export scale of our province have realized "Liulianyang". According to the statistics of Hangzhou Customs, under the situation of 1.8% decline in the whole country, the total import and export value of our province reached 1446.450 billion yuan from January to August, an increase of 3.8% over the same period of last year; among them, the export value was 116.097 billion yuan, an increase of 5.1% over the same period of last year. It is worth mentioning that in August, the total import and export value of our province reached 218.98 billion yuan, an increase of 12.8% over the same period last year, and the export value reached 180.62 billion yuan, an increase of 12.7% over the same period last year. The total import and export value and the export scale both reached a new monthly record. Imports also rose 13.2% year-on-year in August, the biggest monthly increase since February 2013.

With this increase, the export share of our province has been increasing. In the first August, Zhejiang's exports accounted for 13.1% of the country's total exports, an increase of 1 percentage point from 12.1% at the end of last year, and a positive pull of 0.6 percentage points of the country's export growth, which played a huge role in stabilizing the country's exports.

In terms of foreign trade market, our province's trade with Europe and the United States continued to recover. In the first August, the growth rates of Zhejiang's imports and exports to the EU, the United States and ASEAN were 7.9%, 4.8% and 7.8% respectively, which were 1, 1.4 and 1 percentage point higher than those in the previous July. In addition, our province has maintained a strong momentum of trade development along the "one belt and one road" area. The import and export scale of the former August reached 454 billion 380 million yuan, an increase of 7.1% over the previous year, accounting for 31.4% of the total foreign trade and import and export volume of the whole province, and 382 billion 560 million yuan, an increase of 8.4% over the same period last year, accounting for 33% of the total export value of the province.

With the deepening of industrial transformation and upgrading in our province, the structure of import and export commodities is also ushered in further optimization. On the export side, the export value of high-tech products was 72.77 billion yuan, an increase of 11.5% over the same period last year, leading the province's export growth rate by 6.4 percentage points, accounting for 6.3% of the total export value of the province, and the proportion increased by 0.4 percentage points over the same period last year. Labor-intensive products, as traditional superior commodities for export, also showed a steady trend, with exports of 44.129 billion yuan in the previous August, an increase of 4.4%. On the import side, the import of high-tech products and pharmaceuticals continued to maintain a good trend, increasing by 11.0% and 20.9% year-on-year respectively, accounting for 11.8% and 2.3% of the province's import value, and the proportion increased by 1.3 and 0.4 percentage points over the same period last year. In addition, the imports of iron ore, grain, liquefied petroleum gas, coal and synthetic rubber increased by 18%, 10.4%, 37.2%, 20.4% and 88.7% respectively, which had a significant impact on the recovery of imports in the whole province.

As the frontier of many new forms and modes of foreign trade, our province has also personally enjoyed the foreign trade policy dividend since this year. In the previous August, 13 foreign trade integrated service platforms in our province realized export of 46.28 billion yuan, an increase of 1.4 times, which boosted the export growth of the whole province by 2.5 percentage points. In the same period, the province's cross-border e-commerce exports totaled 3.15 billion yuan, an increase of 1.2 times, while imports totaled 4.78 billion yuan, an increase of 1.3 times. In addition, in the first eight months, the province exported 122.01 billion yuan by means of market procurement, an increase of 9.5%, which boosted the province's export growth by 0.96 percentage points. Among them, in August, the province's market procurement export increased by 20.75 billion yuan, an increase of 19.0%, breaking the 20 billion mark for the first time in a month.
