From January to June this year, the China-Europe freight trains have operated a total of 8,641 trips and transported 936,000 TEUs of goods, with respective year-on-year increases of 16% and 30%. Westbound trains numbered 4,620 with 499,000 TEUs, showing a growth of 16% and 29% compared to the same period last year. Eastbound trains amounted to 4,021 with 437,000 TEUs, demonstrating an increase of 16% and 31% respectively. As of now, the cumulative number of China-Europe freight trains has exceeded 73,000 trips and 6.9 million TEUs.
