India announced restrictions on the import of such products: nearly 80% of imports come from China. The Indian government recently issued a notice stating that the restrictions include the import of personal computers, including laptops and tablets. Enterprises need to apply for a license in advance for exemption. It is expected that the relevant measures will officially take effect from November 1st.

Data from global analytic company Counterpoint shows that in India  about 65% of personal computer products, such as laptops, rely on imports. Among these imports, China accounts for a large proportion. From 2022 to 2023, China accounted for approximately 76.9% of various personal computer products imported by India.
