FESCO has launched a railway project in Vladivostok between the Vladivostok station and the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port. An additional railway line is being constructed, which will increase the number of container trains the port can handle by 40%.

The newly constructed railway line serves as the second export route for the Vladivostok port, helping to ease the congestion of container imports via sea transport by transferring them to the railway network.

In addition, both companies will renovate the old tracks between the station and the port, as well as the marshalling yard at the station. According to calculations by both companies, the investment in infrastructure construction and the increase in shunting operations intensity will enable the Vladivostok port to handle up to 10 pairs of container trains per day, compared to the current number of 7 pairs.
