In the 20th week, the major ports of the China-Europe freight train successively released their traffic data for the first 4 months. According to their report, there were 2715 China-Europe (China-Central Asia) freight trains passing through Khorgos , up 22.9% year on year; 2317 trains passing through Alashankou, an increase of 12.3% year-on-year. The number of trains passing through Manzhouli is 1580, and that passing through Erenhot is 1009.

Last week, Kazakhstan notified that the construction of the rail track between Dostyk and Moiynty may have caused congestion and delays at borders. At present, it seems that although there is a shortage of wagons at the border between China and Kazakhstan,  the impact on the reloading is limited. The average duration for transshipment at Alashankou and Khorgos is 3-5 days, and that at Erenhot is 7-10 days. A few containers are stranded for more than 12 days.

At present, trains traveling westward on the European Line can reach their destinations in about 15 days, with a T/T  of about 14 days for Chengdu-Malashewicze, 16 days for Chongqing-Duisburg, and 15 days for Xi'an-Budapest. There is a slight delays on the Russian route. The T/T from Xi'an, Hefei, Datian, and Guiyang to Moscow is about 15-20 days, while those from Chengdu and Chongqing to Minsk is about 20-22 days.

Market overviews:

European routes: The overall transportation demand is stable, and there are still plenty of spaces at each platform  in late May. The booking prices in Yiwu have been reduced by about $150 compared to last week.

Russia route: The supply of spaces is obviously greater than the demand for shipment. The spot freight rate fluctuates sharply at first and then goes down all the way. All platforms cut the price again, with a month on month drop of 15% - 20%.

Central Asia route: The market's cargo volume has decreased compared to the first quarter, and the shipping schedules have been correspondingly reduced. There have been many special offers last week, causing significant fluctuations in the  market. It is expected to gradually return to normal this week.
