In Week 11，China-Europe freight train runs well. The average handling time at Alashankou and Khorgos is 3-5 days, while handling time at Erenhot rail port has been improved to 6 days this week. Major terminals maintained high level on punctuality rate of departures，but some containers are still stranded in Wuhan, Xi'an, Ganzhou, Chengdu, Hamburg, Milan for 1-5 days. The channels remain smooth that it takes 13 days to arrive at Malaszewicze for the trains depart from Chongqing, Chengdu and Xi'an, 12 days from Xi'an to Elektrougli/St. Petersburg, 17 days from Guiyang to Moscow.

In the direction of the European route, the market releases positive signals that volumes rise up and prices remain stable. Spaces at Xi'an, Zhengzhou, Chengdu are relatively tight. In the direction of the Russian route, there are sufficient spaces at some departure stations in late March, the spot rate dropped by 200-300 US dollars.

According to China Railway, due to the congestion at border crossings, all cargoes to Manzhouli and Khorgos except containers, key materials , commercial cars and those on China-Europe freight trains will be suspended loading during March 11th to 26th.
