On 18th Nov 2014, the first China-Europe freight train departed from Yiwu, passed through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland etc., taking 21 days and finally arrived in Madrid, the capital of Spain.
This 13,000-kilometre-long China-Europe railway line opened a new channel for economic and trade exchanges between Yiwu and Europe.
Both Yiwu and Madrid will depart memorial trains on the same day on 9th Mar, to marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Spain, as well as to show the achievements of “YXE” express trains in the past 9 years under the Belt and Road Initiatives.
