The Italian Import and Export Association (SIIE) has opened the first route from Milan in northern Italy to Chengdu. The first train departed last weekend, and another train is scheduled to depart on July 29th. The train starts from RHM which is located 20 kilometers east of Milan, and will travel to the Malashevich border port, then pass through Minsk and Alashankou before reaching Chengdu. The transportation time is approximately 28 days.
In recent months, other companies have also launched new services between China and Italy. For example, Hupac introduced a service between Milan and Suzhou in November last year. Additionally, another service connecting the port of La Spezia in northwestern Italy and the Melzo rail hub (RHM) started operating in January.
