During the China-Central Asia Summi held in Xi’an recently, the two countries Kazakhstan and China announced a joint statement, which emphasized the deepening of cooperation in the field of “Belt and Road” Initiative (BRI) and Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor (TITR).
The two sides expressed support for their enterprises to invest in each other, and are ready to further improve the transparency, stability and predictability of investment policies.
They are willing to improve the capacity of cross-border cargo transportation and port border crossings, deepen practical cooperation on China-Europe freight trains and the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, and promote land-sea multimodal transport.
The two sides agreed to promote cooperation to stabilize supply chains, actively explore and study the possibility of a third cross-border railroad and additional railway ports, jointly develop the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, and further strengthen railway cooperation between China and the Eurasian region.
