The overall performance of the trains on the Russian-bound routes is good, with handling of approximately 1-5 days at each departure station. The transit time for trains from Xi'an, Chengdu, Wuhan, Guiyang, Hefei, Ganzhou to Moscow via Alashankou is about 15-18 days, while the overall T/T for trains from Zhengzhou, Changsha, Chengdu and other stations to Minsk is 16-19 days.
Affected by the cut-off of the plans on European-bound routes and strikes at destinations, a few trains were held up at the departures for more than 5 days, but the average transit time for most trains remains around 15-20 days. Among them, Yiwu-Malazewicze takes about 12 days, Xi'an -Duisburg takes 18 days, and Chengdu-Budapest takes 19 days.
At present, the transshipment at all ports has improved to varying degrees. The duration of handling and customs clearance at Khorgos and Alashankou is about 3-5 days, and that at Manzhouli and Erlianhao is about 7 days.
This week, the supply of spaces on the Russian market was sufficient, and the spot freight rates fluctuated slightly. The booking prices at Wuhan, Suzhou, Ganzhou have significantly decreased by about 5-8%. The supply on the European route still exceeds the demand , and spaces till mid May are still open at platforms such as Chengdu, Xi'an, and Zhengzhou. The Central Asian bounded routes have also gradually entered the off-season, with spot market rate for Xi'an-Almaty and Xi'an-Tashkent dropping by about 20%.
